For 3 days, follow your heart and explore the boundless savannah, with its rolling plains and marshy forests, where you’re sure to encounter breathtaking and truly beautiful sceneries of wild nature that will enrich you in many ways.
The Maasai Mara extends over an area of 3,000 sq. km. Between July and October, it’s home to one of the natural wonders of the world - The Great Migration - when over 1 million wildebeest and other wild animals migrate in search of better grazing areas, with predators in their wake - on land, and in the crocodile-infested waters, they must cross.
Depart Nairobi early in the morning for a scenic drive whereby you will experience magnificent sceneries and landscapes along the way that includes breathtaking views of Mt. Longonot and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Later arrive in good time for check-in and lunch at your Lodge/camp of choice. The reserve has vast open spaces, carpets of green grass, and an abundance of stunning, exotic wildlife throughout the year making it a prime destination and a must-visit for all!
After lunch, set off on a game drive just as the animals awake from their afternoon sleep. As the air begins to cool and the sun sinks lower to the horizon, witness the excitement of the bush in action, returning at dusk to your lodge for dinner and good night’s rest.
After early morning breakfast in the lodge/ camp you will depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a lunch break in between the game drives in order to cover a bigger area and see more of the reserve. Maasai Mara, is host to the most spectacular array of wildlife; the Big five. cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, giraffe, gazelle species, zebras among others.
This would be your last day in the reserve. After an early breakfast, you will enjoy an enroute game drive as you leave the Mara and make your way back to Nairobi arriving in the city in the mid/late afternoon.
