– Arrival & Transfer to Lake Manyara

You will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our safari representative will greet you and transfer you directly to Lake Manyara National Park. This marks the beginning of your adventure, with an afternoon game drive introducing you to the park’s remarkable biodiversity. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, vast flocks of flamingos, and diverse birdlife that thrives around the shimmering soda lake. The landscapes here are equally captivating, ranging from dense forests to open plains, offering a rich contrast to the wildlife encounters. The name “Manyara” itself originates from the Maasai word Emanyara, referring to the Euphorbia plant traditionally used to form protective hedges around Maasai homesteads — a cultural detail that adds depth to your safari experience.
