After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial & Museum, a profoundly moving and educational site created in partnership between the Kigali City Council and the UK-based Aegis Trust. The memorial offers a transparent and humbling tour, honoring the memory of over 250,000 victims laid to rest at the site. After an early breakfast at your lodge, set out for the highlight of your journey — gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Guests are welcomed with a warm cup of Rwandan coffee before being divided into small groups of eight, matched according to fitness levels. Each group is accompanied by an expert guide and two trained scouts, ensuring both safety and an enriching experience. Trekking times vary depending on the location of the gorilla family, ranging from a short half-hour walk to a full-day adventure. The reward is an unforgettable hour spent observing one of the ten habituated gorilla families, watching them feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat — a truly once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Rwanda’s vibrant traditions with a visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village.
