Day 1 – Welcome To Uganda And The Start Of Your Adventure
Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport in Uganda you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. A transfer will take you to your city accommodation, where you can enjoy your one-night stay.
Day 2: Kampala – Kibale National Park
After an early sumptuous breakfast, you will take an early morning drive through papyrus swamps and local villages to Kibale National Park which lies under the towering Ruwenzori Mountains. lunch will at the lodge.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through several crater lakes, local villages, tea plantations and waterfalls. Dinner and an overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day, begin your chimpanzee search in the early morning, touring through thick timber and encountering other primates along the way, including the black and white Colobus, slate- cheeked Mangabey, and red- tagged monkey. Once you spot the chimpanzee, you ’ll spend some mesmerizing time observing as they swing from trees, feed, play, or progress hastily on the ground in front of you
After chimp trekking, you ’ll drive to Queen Elizabeth Park for a comforting, evening boat voyage along the notorious Kazinga Channel, where, in the golden light of dusk, mammoths, buffalo, waterbuck and Uganda kob congregate to quench their thirst. Return to your lodge for an late stay.
Day 4 Full Day at Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin your day with a mug of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes guests encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of catcalls. afterward drive through the Ishasha Sector; this takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. If time allows take a mini game drive in Ishasha sector – in quest of tree climbing lions before advancing to Bwindi forest National Park. feed and night stay at either Buhoma Lodge/ Mahogany Springs/ Gorilla Safari Lodge( high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge/ Chameleon Hill Lodge(Mid-range) menu plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Bwindi National Park
Early breakfast before driving to Bwindi National Park then you will be transferred to the Park’s headquarters for a Gorilla trekking briefing. You will trek through mist and dense forest trying to find where the family of gorillas probably last nested before then tracking them.
This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds, Uganda’s mountain gorillas are also mesmerizing to watch: youngsters chase each other and swing in trees, vines. Only one hour is allowed. After which you’ll climb out of the thicks of the forest, return to your lodge and recollect on your close encounters with these truly beautiful endangered beasts. Dinner, and overnight stay at the lodge.
Optional Activity: Afternoon village walk
Day 6 Gorilla trekking, Bwindi National Park
On this day, get up very early for gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will learn more as the ranger tells you the interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas.
Optional Activity: Afternoon village walk
Day 7 Departure
Return to Kampala in the early morning, before continuing on to Entebbe with a stopover for lunch. You will have a Cultural Village visit to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people; it is at Igongo center where the future meets the past.Immerse yourself in the rich history and truly captivating culture and modern lifestyle of the Ankole and Bahima before your evening departures back home.
