6 Days 5 Nights Amazing Amboseli, great Rift valley & masai mara Combo

Kenya’s vastness makes it wonderful for exploring the diverse landscape and observing wildlife in their natural habitat. In this 7-day/6-night itinerary, you will be visiting two of Kenya’s most renowned game-viewing areas: Amboseli National park and Maasai Mara Reserve. While here, you will quickly be accustomed to having elephants roaming in front of your lodge as you wake up to catch those first rays of light. An overnight stay at Lake Naivasha is a perfect way to break the journey from Amboseli to Maasai Mara and for some extra activities such as Boat Rides, visiting Hells Gate National Park, Hiking, and visiting Crescent Island. By the end of your safari, you will have encountered spectacular and truly beautiful sceneries of wild nature that will enrich you in ways you never thought possible.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

Set off Nairobi in the early morning by road through the picturesque Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, received at your lodge in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon embark on a game drive in search of wild animals in their hideout! as a blistering sunset derives, return to your lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Full day Amboseli

After having morning breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Park. As you go in search of more great wildlife experiences, you might view a multitude of wildlife such as giraffe, spotted hyena, zebra, buffalo, blue wildebeest, cheetah, giraffe, hippopotamus, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, lion, and elephant herds moving through the acacia woodlands.

After an entire day spent out in the bush, return to the comfort of your lodge for Dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 3: Amboseli – Naivasha

After breakfast, depart for Naivasha via Nairobi. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge /camp of your choice. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus, providing the ideal setting for a family to go for a boat ride or walk along the lake shores. The name Naivasha is derived from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise.

Day 4: Naivasha – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Depart after having an early breakfast to Maasai Mara via Narok town. later arrive in good time for check-in and lunch at your Lodge/camp of choice. The reserve has vast open spaces, carpets of green grass, and an abundance of stunning, exotic wildlife throughout the year making it a prime destination and a must-visit for all! 

After lunch, set off on a game drive just as the animals awake from their afternoon sleep. As the air commences to cool and the sun sinks lower to the horizon, witness the delight of the bush in action, returning at dusk to your lodge for dinner and good night rest.

Day 5: Full day Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After early morning breakfast in the lodge/ camp, you will depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a lunch break in between the game drives in order to cover a bigger area and see more of the reserve. Maasai Mara, is host to the most spectacular array of wildlife; the Big five. cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, giraffe, gazelle species, zebras among others.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

This would be your preceding day in the reserve. After an early breakfast, you will enjoy an en-route game drive as you leave the Mara and make your way back to Nairobi arriving in the city in the mid/late afternoon.
